Since not all the skills guys have cap sigs, it's the only good reason for having a skill guy in the guild hall.

I've noticed it for a while, but I like how your avatar's armor has that STTNG feel. It would be nice to see a ST series have that same feel again. |

Ok, so can someone clear this up for me? I'm confoosed.
The skill trainer is useless (I knew this for a while) But, can you buy any skill you've unlocked from him? Or just Core skills? A post above said only core, and then the other posts confused me. If any unlocked skill can be bought... that opens up posibilities. Of course, we now have Tomes for that. Said tomes are also cheaper than skills. |

G + click for a skill cap is the what I like about him. Pure convenience. If you're short on cash, I'd probably skip it.

Just to clarify since there seems to be some confusion, the guild hall skills merchant is only for core skills that have been unlocked on your account not all core skills. This became less useful after ANet updated all merchants to sell unlocked skills for core + their campaign. It is more of a legacy item that allowed easy access for the core professions before that update. That being said, he is still very useful for grabbing cap sigs, especially if you do so regularly.

I think they should make any skill unlocked on your account buyable from him too

Same thing as others have been saying.... All unlocked skills should be there... not just the core.
But admittedly he was the second guy I got for my guildhall and I don't regret it.... not least because sometimes it is a pain in the arse to find somewhere with Cap Sigs... and a lot easier to just port back to the Hall and nab a few. Last NPC to get in the Guildhall? Pfah... THAT dubious honour falls with the Rare Scroll Trader. I'm never going to find a need to buy that guy. |

So I am sitting here at work and I'm like, "No, that can't be right."
"The guild hall skill trainer has to have skills for any of the professions that you have access to...he's just gotta!" "...These guys just don't know what they are talking about." So, I log in with my Para and map to the guild hall. As I run towards the skill dealer, a slight despondent panic sets in, "What if they are right?...and why didn't I ever notice?" *Click* Skill Trainer *jaw drops open* In the famous words of Moe Szyslak, "Whaaa?" The OP is right on the mark???this doesn???t really make any sense. What if you only have characters that are comprised of NF professions? |
